Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight A's on her A-levels. Speaking about her Emmerdale character, Coleman stated that she regrets the lack of a normal University experience. In high school Coleman was part of a company for theatre called In Yer Space with whom they performed in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. She was awarded an award in recognition of her performance. The play was also received favourably. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman landed the part that she played in Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards, the British Soap Awards as the best newcomer, and also the National Television Awards as the most Popular. Coleman was awarded nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and Best Dramatic performance on the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will be Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she complimented Smith, and that she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the industry since 1987. She has been involved in a variety of films and TV productions. Eva has been spending more time working on television shows than in films. Eva is known best by her character of her character, Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part while she was also given the a chance explore her creative side through music. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as entrepreneurial. Eva is married to three men and has two children from the first.
